My wish for you is joy – in life and in work. A state of positive well-being, creativity, and stillness. Not momentary, but rather a constant frequency. When we do this together, we operate in love and unity, and we are able to serve a higher purpose.

With love and gratitude,
Eileen

I was born and raised in New Jersey, daughter of Warren and Eileen Buehler, and sister to three brothers – Warren, Patrick and Bob. We spent a happy childhood playing sports and other games together, and Pinochle is still a family favorite. I attended elementary school at St. Catherine’s in Glen Rock, NJ, and maintain fond memories of my Catholic school experience and the friendships and community I experienced there.

My mother was an instructor of Jose Silva’s right brain training program, The Silva Mind Control Method, of which I am a graduate. The Silva Method trains a person to lower his/her brain wave frequency (Alpha/Theta), use deeper levels of the mind, and be aware in what psychologists call the subconscious regions of the mind.

My mother was a role model and catalyst in teaching me to follow what is calling me, what I am good at, and what I enjoy doing. My father encouraged excellence in all things, high achievement, and a healthy dose of fun.

While attending Glen Rock high school, I participated in weekend and month-long programs at The Himalayan Institute of Yoga and Science in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. It was here where I was introduced to yoga, meditation, eastern and western philosophies, the science of breath, biofeedback, and a vegetarian diet. After graduation, I attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and received a BA in Psychology and a BA in Religious Studies.

I enjoyed studying all religions during my tenure at UC Santa Barbara, but found that I had a particular interest in the religious systems of India. For this reason, I spent an adventurous year in India studying at the University of Delhi MBA School and Miranda House College. I learned Hindi at the Landour Language School in Mussoorie, a hill station in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range, with instructors Gita and Deepak, and the University of California Education Abroad students. I traveled to Rishikesh and spent time in an ashram, and visited many interesting places, including Varanasi, Kashmir, Ladakh, and Goa.

Upon returning to the United States I obtained a Masters Degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco. My thesis focused on the most effective methods to interview and select employees. I identified specific techniques and methods that produced quantifiable results over time, and went on to use this information in my consulting practice and create selection systems for companies that helped them to identify and hire exceptional people.

I’m married to the brilliant and loveable Harry Hahn, and we have two inspiring, passionate children, Trey and Gayla, who bring great joy to my life. As a close knit family we enjoy adventure, and often travel together to fun places like Costa Rica, Machu Picchu, the Galapagos Islands, Belize, and Botswana. It was extra special to walk the Spanish pilgrimage the Camino de Santiago together; be “present” at Eckhart Tolle’s retreat The Joy of Being in Lake Louise, Canada; and share Geri Portnoy’s yoga retreats in Ojai, California.

In addition to the loving Hahn, Buehler, O’Brien clans, Juan and Betty Salagado Barba and the Cumbres community in Tijuana, Mexico are part of my extended family. My heart takes me thirty miles south of San Diego to support and assist the Cumbres community. I feel a strong pull to go regularly and I always return home with a heart filled with love.
